Our La Giralda School, among the 10 best in the world September 22, 2025 Our school, Colegio La Giralda, located in the Santa Fe district of Bogotá, has been nominated among the top 10 schools in the world for the prestigious #World’sBestSchoolPrizes, organized by T4 Education. The recognition was awarded in the category Supporting Healthy Lives thanks to the school’s innovative initiative: the Socioemotional Gymnasium. The strategy, created by Colegio La Giralda, promotes physical activity and socioemotional learning, helping students manage their emotions, resolve conflicts peacefully, and strengthen their mental health. Launched in 2020 during the pandemic, the initiative has shown significant results in 2023, with a 67% reduction in situations that affect school coexistence. This achievement reflects the educational community’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and high-quality education that bridges gaps and creates more opportunities for students. Being nominated for the World’s Best School Prizes is a major milestone for La Giralda, as these awards are the highest recognition in the global education sector. The categories include Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, and Supporting Healthy Lives, the latter being the one in which the school has been recognized. Public vote for the Community Choice Award will open on June 13 at 6:00 a.m. and close on June 28 at midnight. This special recognition is open to the 50 shortlisted schools across the five categories of the World’s Best School Prizes and is awarded to the school that receives the most public votes.
