What is Safe Navigation?

Safe Navigation is the program for developing students’ socio-emotional skills from transition through 11th grade that we have implemented at Alianza Educativa since 2020. It emerged from a review of the literature on the impact of socio-emotional development on students’ well-being and success.

Safe Navigation has been adapted from the World Bank’s Escuela Amiga “Step by Step” program, and its socio-emotional skills framework has three dimensions: With myself, With others, and With our challenges.
